On May 26, Gulf Binance was granted digital asset operator license by the Thai Ministry of Finance, allowing it to begin operating a cryptocurrency exchange subject to oversight by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand. A representative for Binance told that the exchange is now open by invitation only, and that further information will be provided when it became available. On November 10th, the company was granted registration with the Thai Securities and Exchange Commission ( SEC). In early 2024, Binance and Gulf Energy Development, a major energy provider in Thailand, will launch a cryptocurrency exchange in the nation.Īccording to a filing made by Gulf Energy on the Stock Exchange of Thailand on November 15th, the Gulf Binance initiative would launch privately at first and then publicly in early 2024.
